Release #2-26

Smarter workflows and trusted IHM Expertise

Even Better Workflow

The February release of CCOM X has one clear focus: improved workflow. This time, the update is not about major new modules or extensive changes — but about enhancements that make the system smoother to use, reduce friction, and savetime in daily operations.

The goal is simple, less time spent in the system and more time operating vessels.

By simplifying common tasks such as dropdown menus, forms, and follow-up processes, we have removed unnecessary complexity and made everyday work more efficient — both onboard and onshore.

New features in this release include:

  • Search in all dropdown menus: You can now search in all dropdown menus containing custom system values — across all modules. This also includes the list of available departments.
  • Improved layout and full-screen mode in Trip-Based Shift & Manning: The TBSM module has been updated with a cleaner, more structured layout, reduced white space, and improved readability. In addition, full-screen view is now available in all tabs within Trip View.
  • Filters that remember you: CCOM X now automatically saves your filters across all tables.

As always, this release also includes a range of minor bug fixes and technical improvements contributing to:

  • Increased stability
  • Improved performance
  • A more seamless user experience

We continue to develop CCOM X in close dialogue with our users.
Do you have feedback or suggestions for further improvements? We would be happy to hear from you.

Safe and efficient IHM for over 400 vessels

IHM may seem extensive – but it doesn’t have to be demanding in everyday operations. Today, CCOM is a partner for more than 400 vessels in the preparation of IHM Part I and in providing support toward renewal of theIHM certificate. Our consultants take responsibility for screening, document collection, and the establishment of the Combined Master File, allowing our clients to focus on operations – not document chasing.

In addition, we support more than 100 vessels with ongoing maintenance of their IHM database. This ensures that documentation is always up to date, audit-ready, and compliant with the requirements of the EU ShipRecycling Regulation (SRR) and the Hong Kong International Convention (HKC) for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships.

Our experience is simple: Structure creates confidence. With a clear methodology and strong dialogue, we reduce the risk of non-conformities and make collaboration with class and authorities more predictable.

When vessels undergo changes – such as shipyard stays, conversions, or major procurements – proper IHM handling becomes particularly important. We are pleased to assist with:

  • Follow-up during shipyard stays
  • Advisory support for conversions and modifications
  • Screening related to major procurements and installations
  • Additional reviews or gap assessments when needed

We work closely with our clients throughout the entire process – providing practical support and clear guidance – ensuring that IHM is handled efficiently and predictably.
